Where do I send my training documents?

All documents other than the Prospective Approval of Training Form should be sent to the relevant RANZCOG Regional/New Zealand Committee Office. Trainees should refer to the Training Program Handbook for the address details of the Regional/New Zealand Offices.

Please note that Prospective Approval of Training Forms should be sent by ALL trainees directly to College House.

Where do I get copies of all the required RANZCOG registration and training report forms?

ALL registration and training report forms are available on the College website.

These forms can be downloaded / printed as needed More

How do I get a new Logbook?

Each year, Trainees are provided with a new logbook in which to record their clinical training. However, if you fill your logbook please contact the Training Services Department by email or phone and a new logbook will be sent to you.

What is the Trainee Feedback Questionnaire? And what is it used for?

The Trainee Feedback Questionnaire ( 45 KB) asks trainees to rate, and comment on, all aspects of their current training rotation – from the standard of supervision and teaching to the extent of clinical experience available. At the end of each year the responses are collated and the information is presented to the relevant local TA Committee.

Trainees are strongly encouraged to submit the questionnaire with each Six-Monthly Formative Assessment Report that is submitted to College House. Trainees should feel confident that all forms and comments are treated in confidence and no identifying names or details are included in the reports to local TA Committees.

My training arrangements have changed for the year, what should I do?

Each year, trainees are required to obtain prospective approval for their training. If, during the course of the year, your training arrangements change, you should submit a new Prospective Approval Form to College House.

Can I take leave from the training program?

Yes.

While training in Year 1 must be completed full-time and in an uninterrupted block of 12 months, later year Trainees are able to take up to two years leave from the Training Program. Year 2 - Year 6 trainees also have the option of training part-time.

What are my leave entitlements as a Trainee, particularly in relation to maternity leave?

In any one year trainees must do a minimum of 44 weeks of active clinical service/formal training or, on a pro rata basis, 22 weeks in a six-month training block.

Standard leave entitlements (eg, holiday leave, sick leave, accumulated leave) and special leave arrangements (eg, maternity leave, extended sick leave, special circumstances leave) must be organised to ensure that this specified minimum is met.

For full details on the College’s leave entitlements refer the Training Program Handbook.
