Surgical Skills Survey for RANZCOG Trainees & Fellows

Dear Doctor

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists wishes to evaluate the surgical skills of Trainees and young Fellows.

There is concern, as expressed by Trainees and Fellows, that the surgical training received by Trainees is insufficient, and the College wishes to formally address this issue.

Your participation in this survey is essential. Without your participation this important question about the surgical skills of Trainees and Fellows will never be answered.

Please complete the questionnaire, which will take you approximately twenty minutes. Please complete the surgical procedures evaluation to your best knowledge by stating the approximate number of procedures performed since January this year as well as the confidence level, with 1 being not confident at all, and 5 being very confident at all times.

The results of this survey will be presented at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College, October 1-5, 2007 at the Gold Coast, and they will also be published in a peer reviewed journal.

The study co-ordinators wish to emphasise that responses are treated completely anonymously and the survey is designed so that conclusion as to the origin of the responses cannot be made.
