Research Skills Workshops
About
Some trainees may be unfamiliar with how to approach a research
project. Ideally, when planning and undertaking a research project,
a close working relationship with an experienced researcher should
be sought.
To supplement such support, or to provide assistance where such
support has not been obtained, the College offers Research Skills
Workshops. These workshop provides an opportunity for attendees to
interact and learn from experienced researchers and discuss a possible
project with them and with peers.
Aims & benefits
These Workshops are built around an interactive session
in which proposed research projects are discussed in small groups
with experienced researchers.
The aim of these sessions is to assist each trainee to take the
optimal approach to his or her particular research project. The
benefits for participants are that their own projects will be discussed
and they can learn from discussions on the design of other studies.
2008
Workshop details for 2008 will be made available as they come to hand.
