MRANZCOG Written Examination
Eligibility for the Written Examination
Details regarding eligibility for the MRANZCOG Written Examination

Format
The MRANZCOG Written Examination currently consists of two papers:
- A multiple choice question (MCQ) paper of 120 questions, with
approximately five options for each question. Candidates are required
to select the single most correct option for each question. Marks
are not deducted for incorrect answers.

- A short answer question paper consisting of 12 questions, all
of equal value. Answers to these questions should preferably be
in ‘dot-point form’, although continuous prose is
also acceptable.

Legible English
Examination candidates are reminded that all RANZCOG written examinations must be answered in legible, handwritten English. Any answer (or portion of an answer) that cannot be read by examiners will not be marked. (See regulation 4.5 in the Training Program Handbook.
