GP Diploma (DRANZCOG)
This is a diploma qualification involving a six-month training program for general practitioners/residents who wish to provide shared ante and postnatal care with specialist obstetricians, GP obstetricians or a specialist hospital. For more information see Essential Information below.
Advanced GP Diploma (DRANZCOG Advanced)
This qualification involves the attainment of skills in advanced obstetrics and gynaecology, which will be practiced predominantly by rural GPs. It requires an additional six-month training program after completing the DRANZCOG, offering extended training for GP obstetricians in addition to the skills obtained through the DRANZCOG program. When registering for DRANZCOG/DRANZCOG advanced training, please ensure that you have secured a position in an accredited hospital (list available above). Prospective trainees must complete the registration form, attach four certified passport photos, a certified copy of their primary medical degree or AMC certificate plus payment - and forward all this to College House for processing four weeks prior to the commencement of training.

Training Documentation DRANZCOG Trainee Assessment Forms These forms are used as a training assessment aid in the evaluation of a trainee's progress at mid-way through their Diploma training
(Not for DRANZCOG Advanced Trainees)
Certification Process Process for obtaining the DRANZCOG or DRANZCOG Advanced Certificate once all assessment requirements have been met
To qualify for the DRANZCOG candidates must meet the following requirements:
DRANZCOG
- satisfactory completion of 6 months of approved training
- satisfactory completion of the DRANZCOG Logbook (including having it signed off by the relevant State Reference Committee Chair)
- satisfactory completion of the DRANZCOG Written Examination
- satisfactory completion of the DRANZCOG Oral Examination
DRANZCOG Advanced
- satisfactory completion of all of the DRANZCOG requirements above
- satisfactory completion of the DRANZCOG Advanced Logbook (including having it signed off by the relevant State Reference Committee Chair)
- satisfactory completion of five written case studies, which have been assessed by the relevant State Reference Committee Chair

Accredited Training Hospitals
A list of accredited training hospitals can be found in the DRANZCOG and DRANZCOG Advanced Handbook ( 181 KB Large! ) Accreditation of a Training Hospital
Hospitals seeking accreditation in order to offer DRANZCOG and/or DRANZCOG Advanced training must obtain formal approval from the Joint Consultative Committee on Obstetrics (JCCO), the tri-partite committee comprising representatives from RANZCOG, RACGP and ACRRM, which oversees Diploma training.
