Guideline Developer / Women's Health Co-ordinator

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the leading professional body for education and standards in women's health, is seeking a Guideline Developer / Women's Health Co-ordinator, within the College's Women's Health Department.

The focus of the role will be to assist the Women's Health Committee of the College with the development and maintenance of Clinical Practice Guidelines in key areas of Women's Health, to develop patient information leaflets for the College web-site and to coordinate the activities of the Women's Health Committee. Although ideally a full-time role, part-time and job-sharing arrangements will be considered.

The successful applicant must possess relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience, along with a mature outlook and highly developed supervision, administration and written and verbal communication skills. Sound information technology skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as a team member, is essential, as is painstaking attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

Executive Officer

New Zealand Office

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the professional education body of specialists in women's health, is seeking to appoint an Executive Officer to manage the College's office in New Zealand.

The successful applicant will:

• implement policies and procedures of the College;

• assist the New Zealand Committee of the College in its liaison with Government and other medical bodies;

• manage the office within a stipulated budget, including a working knowledge of a recognised accounting package;

• communicate with trainees based in hospitals throughout New Zealand; and

• co-ordinate New Zealand Committee activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and highly organised individual who enjoys working independently and as part of a progressive women's health organisation.

Demonstrated initiative and excellent communication skills are essential characteristics. Sound computing and database skills are needed to underpin the work of the office.

Participation in occasional evening and weekend meetings is required.
