Activities Report
This inaugural Activities Report is provided to the community to be a comprehensive account of College activities throughout 2010.
It focuses on providing details of the Obstetric and Gynaecological workforce, as well as information regarding training of Fellows, Subspecialists, and Diplomates across Australia and New Zealand, breaking down data into useful subcategories, such as geographical locations, gender, and age demographics.

Statistics 'Snapshot'
Each year in January the College takes a 'snapshot' of the membership - numbers of members, their age, gender and geographical location.

In summary, the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists workforce profile is as follows:
Fellows
There are 1,660 Fellows; 1,432 practising in Australia and 228 in New Zealand.
- Australia: 65% (928) male and 35% (504) female
- New Zealand: 54% (122) male and 46% (106) female
Fellowship Trainees
A total of 503 trainees are currently in the training program.
- Male: 30% (151)
- Female: 70% (352)
Diplomates
There are 2,393 Diplomates of the College in Australia.
- Male: 45% (1,075)
- Female: 55% (1,318)
- DRANZCOG Advanced (156); 39% male and 61% female.
- DRANZCOG (1774); 39% male and 61% female.
- Dip RACOG (463).
Diploma Trainees
There are 312 GPs currently registered for the DRANZCOG or DRANZCOG Advanced qualification.
- DRANZCOG (262); 23% male and 77% female.
- DRANZCOG Advanced (50); 40% male and 60% female.
