What is the MAPS standard?

MAPS literally means Minimal Acceptable Passing Standard. When the term is applied to WBAs it reflects the minimal standard of care you provide to ensure the safety of your patient. Irrespective of the previous clinical experience you have had, the Assessor will utilise the MAPS definition only against the performance level expected for the qualification you are currently enrolled in. The MAPS standard required for each WBA is articulated in the tool against each specific assessment criterion.
