Privacy policy

This page explains the type of information that is collected by the Online Orientation Program (OOP), the purpose for which the information is collected, how such information is used and under what circumstances and to whom it may be disclosed. Information Logged

For the purposes of the OOP, the Royal Australian And New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) may make a record of your visit and log the following information for statistical purposes:

• the user's server address
• the user's top level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, .uk, etc)
• the date and time of access to the site
• pages accessed and documents downloaded
• the previous site visited

This information is collected for the following purposes:

• web site and system administration, including monitoring to prevent security breaches
• enhancement of the website to the user's needs
• research and development

No attempt will be made to identify anonymous users or their browsing activities except in the unlikely event of an investigation where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the log files.

Provision of email addresses

When you register you are asked to provide your email address. This information will only be used in association with this project and will not be added to a mailing list. We may use this information to contact you for the purposes of feedback or other matters related to this project. We will not use your email address for any other purpose and it will not be disclosed without your consent.
