About the Meeting
This meeting will bring together health professionals from across the country with the common interest and desire to
improve the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. The program has been formulated
to include a diverse range of presentations covering cultural issues, current public health information, clinical topics
and medico-political opinions.
Networking Opportunity
One of the aims of the meeting is to encourage networking between health professionals with the common interest and desire to
improve the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.
The Organising Committee welcomes any organisation actively involved in Indigenous women’s health to contact the Meeting

Poster Display - Call for Abstracts
The Organising Committee invites you to submit an abstract for Poster
display at the RANZCOG 2008 Australian Indigenous Women’s Health Meeting.
Abstracts are welcome on any topic relevant to Indigenous women’s health.
The deadline for abstract submission is Friday 27 June 2008.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Organising Committee. Acceptance or otherwise is at the discretion of the Organising Committee and notification will be sent to the author by email.
Poster presentations will be on display in the trade exhibition area for the
duration of the meeting and delegates will be invited to view the Posters and
talk to authors in attendance during refreshment breaks. Please note that all presenters attending the meeting must register and pay the appropriate registration fee.
Submission Guidelines
- All abstracts for Poster display must be
submitted electronically to:

- Abstracts should not exceed 250 words and
should be structured to contain an objective,
statement of findings or supporting information
and key conclusions or recommendations
- An acknowledgement of receipt of abstract will
be sent to the author by email
- Submission of abstracts implies the author’s
agreement to publish the abstract in the
meeting program handbook
- Acceptance or otherwise is at the discretion of
the Organising Committee and notification will
be sent to the main presenter by email
