LEAP Framework Pilot Project
What is the LEAP Framework?
The LEAP Framework is a way to understand and describe the diverse roles
and the wide range of skills, knowledge, attitudes and attributes that are
considered to be part of being a medical professional today.
The LEAP Framework that has been developed provides a generic framework for
continuing professional development (CPD) that has been developed
for Australian medical specialists, applicable to a range of disciplines
and practice settings More
A pilot to test the framework in practice is being funded by the
Australian Government's Department
of Health & Ageing on behalf of the Committee
of Presidents of Medical Colleges
What is the aim of the Project?
To test the usefulness and validity of the LEAP framework in practice.
By doing so, we can understand its relevance and useability to medical
specialists. This will involve a sample of Fellows from eight medical
colleges undertaking a trial of the project within the specified
time.
