Doctors' Health Advisory Services
The College is concerned that Fellows in crisis are unable to access the kind of support that they need when they need it. This support may be obtained from a range of sources:
- Collegiate support from colleagues, Councilors and Regional committee members
- Medical support - general practitioners and Fellows should not dismiss their own symptoms and should consult a doctor if they are unwell
- Doctors advisory phone lines, some of which operate 24 hours per day and are strictly confidential.

Re-entry guidelines and retraining programs for Fellows
The RANZCOG re-entry and retraining programs have been developed to support the vision of 'excellence in women's health' by assisting Fellows who wish to return to active practice following a prolonged absence or who have identified themselves as requiring retraining, or have been identified by a Regional Health Board, Medical Board or Medical Council as requiring retraining.
