If you are practising overseas and participating in a recognised overseas continuing professional development (CPD) program you may be eligible for a 50 per cent reduction in your subscription fee.

This reduction is only available to RANZCOG Overseas Fellows and not to RANZCOG Overseas Subspecialists.

Recognised CPD programs

Recognised CPD programs are currently those provided by the

• Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG)
• Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (HKCOG)
• Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)

Procedure for current participants

If you currently participate in one of the above recognised CPD programs the procedure for subscription reduction is as follows:

• Each year, when returning your subscription notice, provide evidence in the form of a letter from the RCOG, HKCOG or RCPSC (additional information is required for RCPSC participants) stating that you are currently participating in their CPD program.

This means that you will

• Be removed from the RANZCOG CPD Program and no longer receive information about the RANZCOG CPD Program or receive an updated certificate if yours has expired
• Receive a 50 per cent reduction in your fees
• Continue to receive ANZJOG and O&G

If or when you return to Australia or New Zealand to practise you need to inform the College in writing. Your new three-year CPD cycle will then commence immediately.

Programs not currently recognised by the RANZCOG

If you are participating in a CPD program that is not currently recognised by the RANZCOG you may make an appliction to the RANZCOG Continuing Professional Development Committee (CPDC) for recognition of the program you are participating in.

The application to the CPDC needs to contain the following evidence from the CPD program provider:

• A letter stating that you are a current participant in the CPD program
• A copy of the program guidelines
