University of Sydney and Nepean Hospital
A number of University of Sydney PhD and MMed Fellowships are available
for perinatal medicine research at Nepean Hospital commencing in
2006.
Possible areas of research could include:
• Pre-eclampsia screening.
• Risk assessment for vaginal delivery.
• Use of stem cells in hypoxic neurological damage.
• Fetal growth.
Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney.
It is a tertiary referral centre situated at the foot of the Blue
Mountains in Penrith.

International Fellowship Programme
FIGO and Ministry of Health, Malaysia
The Obstetrcal and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia (OGSM), the
Ministry of Health of Malaysia and FIGO are offering an International
Fellowship Program to young O&Gs from developing countries.
The Fellowship involves participation in a two-week program at
hospitals and attendance at the XVIII FIGO World Congress in Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia on 5-10 November 2006.
