College Collection
College House provides a perfect setting for the College Collection,
which includes works of art, antique furniture, decorative art,
historical artefacts and College regalia.
The Collection has been donated by College members or purchased
following fundraising appeals. Recent items have been purchased

grateful for the support of members and Friends and donations are
welcome.
Furniture and building features
The furniture in the College Collection has been either donated
or purchased over the years dating from the opening of the first
College headquarters at 8 La Trobe Street, Melbourne in 1954.
At the time of the purchase of the present College House in 1981,
a College House and Heritage Appeal was launched to raise funds
for the cost of renovating and furnishing the building. The response
to the Appeal was considerable and it enabled the purchase of some
valuable and elegant antiques in keeping with the period of the
building. At the same time some notable features were incorporated
into the building which included the stained glass windows and dome
by glass artists Magdelena and Janusz Kuzbicki and the magnificent
jarrah lined Frank Forster Library with matching jarrah furniture.
Since the initial furnishing of College House many generous donations
have been received from members and Friends that continue to enhance
the Collection. They are on display throughout the building and
may be viewed when visiting College House..
