The RANZCOG Council

Council & Committees

Council is the governing body of the College which meets three times a year (generally in March, July and November) at College House in Melbourne More

There are over 30 Standing Committees of Council including the Executive Committee, Continuing Professional Development Committee, Examinations Committee, Medico-Legal Committee, Provincial Fellows, Training and Accreditation Committee, Subspecialties Committees, Women's Health Committee and ANZJOG Management Committee. These committees meet regularly and make recommendations to Council which are voted upon by the RANZCOG Council.

Executive Commitee

The Executive Committee of Council comprises the President, three Vice Presidents (one from New Zealand), Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer. The RANZCOG Executive Committee and the College's CEO meet at least six times a year to discuss and debate College matters.

Several representatives also attend Council meetings: a Trainee representatives, a Subspecialist representative, representative of the National Association of Specialist Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (NASOG) and the chair of the GP Obstetrics Advisory Committee.
